Minister Dilov participates in the opening of an investment of 82 million leva in the expansion of the production of a chocolate factory in Sofia

The Minister of Economy and Industry, Petar Dilov, took part in the official opening of a new innovative chocolate production line at the Nestle factory in Sofia. The company's investment is for 82 million leva and will create 70 new jobs. It is aimed at increasing and modernizing the factory's production capacities in our country. With the opening of the new production, our country is establishing itself as a key innovation hub for the Swiss company in Europe.

Minister Dilov wished the company's new investment success and commented that he will work to improve the business environment and stimulate investments, both for companies that are just entering our country and for those that are already positioned in the country and expanding their production capacities.

"It is important for us to stimulate innovative production with high added value and export orientation," said Dilov. He inspected the new production capacities of the factory in Sofia and got acquainted with the technology, which is the only one in Europe that will produce innovative products for the global market under the KitKat Tablets brand.

The official ceremony to open the investment was attended by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Minister of Labor and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov, Mr. Guillaume Le Cunff - Executive Vice President of Nestle and CEO of the company for Zone Europe, Petar Stoilov, Executive Director for Bulgaria, representatives of the Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and the business community in our country.

The third production line expands the capacity of the Bulgarian factory and doubles the annual output, which will be exported to 18 international markets, including the UK, France, Italy, Austria and Canada.
