"District Heating Company of Veliko Tarnovo" is one of the smallest producers of electricity and heat energy from natural gas in the country, but despite this, the company contributes to both the electricity system and the state budget.

I consider the claims that Bulgarian district heating companies are "large debtors of the state" or "large polluters" of the environment to be absolutely unfounded. These are fabricated accusations that a certain circle of people regularly make in public, clearly trying to instill chaos and distrust in people about the work of these companies.

It should be noted that " District Heating Company of Veliko Tarnovo" is one of the major employers in the region, and for the period from 2020 to the present, the company has contributed over 2 million leva to the state budget for taxes and social security contributions, which in turn is a fairly significant amount.

Regarding the prices of heat energy for household subscribers, let me once again draw serious attention to the fact that they are determined by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission. For this reason, there is no way to talk about any artificial increase or distortion.

 Before the end of each regulatory period, the relevant reports and calculations of the final prices at which we should sell the produced heat and electricity for the next period are carried out. This happens through special models prepared by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission. They determine the price of heat energy.

Let's speak openly. We all see what is happening globally and we are all affected by the military conflicts in Europe, especially the war in Ukraine. Natural gas prices have increased significantly, carbon emissions fees have also increased significantly. Materials and consumables required for production have also increased in price.

However, in recent years, the price of heat energy has proven to remain extremely stable. The changes are within only a few percent for a regulatory period, which shows exceptional stability, despite the many internal and external economic factors.

In short, it can be categorically said that there will be no sharp change in the price of heat energy and all the company's customers can be sure of this.
