This was stated by President Rumen Radev at the official inauguration ceremony of Lyubomir Karimanski as a member of the BNB Governing Council. The ceremony was also attended by Vice President Iliana Yotova.
In his speech, Rumen Radev highlighted the efforts of the BNB team, which continues to strengthen the role of the bank as a guarantor of the country's economic and financial stability. "For years, you have been working so that the Bulgarian lev is stable and strong under the conditions of a currency board, our business feels calm, and investors are confident, even in the complex domestic political situation," the head of state said. The president highlighted the role of the BNB as an important instrument for full European integration, through its effective work with all central banks and the European Central Bank. "Thanks to your efforts and despite the political situation, our national financial institution is among the most stable in all of Europe," Rumen Radev emphasized, highlighting the maintenance of low interest rates in our country as a sign of the great professionalism in its work.

The President also expressed his gratitude to her for her contribution to the continued development of the BNB as a guarantor of the future of Bulgaria and emphasized the need for continuity in the activities of the institution with over a century of history.
Lyubomir Karimanski took the oath as a member of the BNB Board of Directors and stated that he would make every effort to preserve the high authority of the BNB as one of the few main pillars of stability in the country. He added that he would invest his knowledge, skills, experience and strength in protecting the independence of the BNB and in implementing its strategic goals.
During the ceremony, Governor Dimitar Radev expressed his gratitude for the strong support that the BNB receives from the presidential institution and added that it is an important factor in establishing the BNB as one of the most stable and well-functioning institutions in the country. According to him, this fact is significant, especially this year, when it turns 145. since the founding of the BNB and is especially relevant today, when we are faced with a crisis and uncertain internal and external environment.
