Electrohold held a Week of Opportunities for Students and Teachers
The company presented the latest trends in the power industry and career development opportunities
For another year, Electrohold held a Week of Opportunities dedicated to education and innovation in the power industry. The initiative is part of the company's long-term strategy to promote vocational education and build qualified personnel for the sector.
Over 400 students from vocational high schools in Western Bulgaria and nearly 20 teachers participated in the event. They got acquainted with the latest trends and innovations in the field of power engineering and learned about the various internship and career opportunities in the companies of the Electrohold group.
The company's experts told the students about modern trends in the management and maintenance of the country's electricity system and technologies for generating electricity from renewable sources.
For the second time, a special Energy for the Future academy for teachers was organized during the Week of Opportunities. Teachers from 15 vocational high schools in Western Bulgaria had the opportunity, with the help of lecturers from the Foundation for Modern Education (FMO), to learn more about creative teaching methods.
"For years, we have been working to popularize education in vocational high schools and support teachers and students, because we believe that together we can ensure a better future for young people in Bulgaria," said Evgeniya Nakova, Human Resources Director at Electrohold Bulgaria.
The Week of Opportunities is part of Electrohold's commitment to promoting career guidance among young people. The goal of the initiative is to give students and teachers a practical understanding of the dynamically developing industry and the prospects it offers.
Electrohold is developing a long-term strategy to support and promote vocational education and the development of qualified personnel for the Bulgarian power industry. For ten years now, the company has been providing scholarships in the "Energy for the Future" competition and providing paid internships for students in vocational high schools and university students. The company is also one of the first to join the dual training program in electrical engineering in Bulgaria.
