The main tasks of the economic advisors seconded to the Trade and Economic Affairs Offices continue to be aimed at actively supporting the activities of Bulgarian companies to expand their positions on international markets, to enter new markets, and to promote Bulgaria as an attractive investment and tourist destination. These tasks must be carried out in close cooperation with the representatives of the Bulgarian business environment and taking into account the priorities and needs of the business.

This was stated by the Minister of Economy and Industry, Dr. Petko Nikolov, during a ceremony to present the annual awards of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Ministry of Economy and Industry.

Minister Nikolov stressed that in order to build a good image of our country in foreign economic terms, active cooperation between the competent institutions and business is necessary. Dr. Nikolov added that these awards are a recognition not only for the successful work of the employees in STIV, but also show the importance and role of the activities of the representatives of the ministry abroad.
