The scheduled annual repair of the sixth unit of the Kozloduy NPP begins

In the early hours of October 19, 2024, the sixth unit of the Kozloduy NPP will be shut down for planned annual maintenance, which is expected to last until the end of November. The suspension was coordinated with "Electricity System Operator" EAD.

During the downtime, the planned repair works and the necessary technical maintenance are to be carried out, ensuring the operability of the equipment and the safe and reliable operation of the unit. All events are conducted in accordance with license obligations and the requirements of technological regulations for safe operation. The unit six reactor will be refueled with fresh nuclear fuel for the next 30th fuel campaign.

The fifth power unit of the Kozloduy NPP operates according to the electricity production schedule.
