The Nordic Organic Food Fair & Natural Beauty & Health Show in Stockholm, Sweden has become a model for successful cooperation between the state and business in presenting our country at trade forums abroad. Six companies had the opportunity to show Bulgarian organic foods at the largest exhibition for organic products in Scandinavia.

At the national stand of Bulgaria in the Kistamässan Exhibition Center, products of BULGARCONSERV RUPITE OOD, BULGARIAN WILD MUSHROOMD OOD, DERONI OOD, FRUCTO SLIVEN AD, HARVESTA OOD and CHERRY BERRY OOD were exhibited. The Bulgarian participation was organized by the Association "Traditional Bulgarian Cans", with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the DF "Agriculture".

The traditional vegetable preserves: lutenits, ajvars, sauces with 100% natural ingredients, without added sugar and preservatives; fruit nectars, juices and compotes of peaches, plums, apricots, strawberries and cherries; mead, organic aronia wine, elderberry wine and raspberry and cherry fruit wines are some of the products that have the opportunity to enter the Scandinavian market. The Nordic region is the 10th largest economy in the world and the 5th largest in Europe. With a higher GDP per capita than any other EU country, it is an attractive market for companies from all over the world.

The Nordic region is hungry for natural and organic products in every area of consumption: 72% of Swedish consumers say sustainability influences their purchasing decisions, 62% of Nordic grocery shoppers spend more on sustainable options, and 33% of Nordic consumers say their interest in sustainability increases every year.

"It is not easy to step into such a sustainability-focused market as the one in the north, but it is also a great opportunity for Bulgaria - for our first-class products and clean environment. The efforts made by our association, the support of Ministry of Agriculture and DF "Agriculture", as well as the help we received from the head of the Office for Commercial and Economic Affairs of Bulgaria in Stockholm - Valentin Stoev, are important first steps to present our products and tastes to a wider audience", shared Antoineta Bozhinova - organizational secretary of the Association "Traditional Bulgarian Cans".

A specially designated area of the exhibition called "Good Food Fair" presented a wide variety of ethically sourced products. In this way, companies receive additional added value for their production and meet the ever-increasing demands of consumers. In addition to promoting positive change, a wave of new brands, products and cutting-edge innovations was launched at the event," said Antoineta Bozhinova. In her words, the inclusion of Bulgarian manufacturers in these trends shows our common ambition to make retail more ethical and sustainable, and brings great potential for companies in establishing consumer confidence.
