The PP-DB party requested a hearing of the Minister of Energy due to the action of the European Prosecutor's Office in Bulgartransgaz

The PP-DB group filed a request for a hearing with the Minister of Energy in connection with the action on Tuesday morning of the European Prosecutor's Office at Bulgartransgaz. It has been requested that the hearing be held at the same time as a meeting of the Energy Commission in the National Assembly.

"Given the lack of an official statement by "Bulgartransgaz" EAD and the various media publications regarding the root cause of the actions carried out, the purpose of the hearing is to clarify whether the European Prosecutor's Office, which investigates crimes with euro funds, carried out these procedural and investigative actions within the framework of an inspection, connected with PGH "Chiren" or with the contract with the Turkish company "Botash". Until taking up his current position, Mr. Vladimir Malinov was the executive director of "Bulgartransgaz" EAD and for this reason he would have most complete information on the case," says the PP-DB position.

I very much hope that the European Prosecutor's Office will reach the final step of this investigation, Kiril Petkov told journalists before a meeting of the PP-DB parliamentary group, quoted by BTA. We have witnessed many investigations started, it must be brought to an end, he pointed out. We'll comment when that happens, but from our perspective there's clearly a reason for them to be there. We do not know the exact reason, whether it is "Botash", whether it is "Chiren", whether it is other things, but let's see that the European Prosecutor's Office does its job, added Petkov.

Acting Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov also commented on the action that had begun at Bulgartransgaz. Employees of the national police are assisting and working under a decree of the European Prosecutor's Office, which has assigned various investigative actions, the minister pointed out and added that the actions are taking place at several addresses - in Sofia, Sliven and Kozloduy.
