Industrial parks are a key element for the economic growth and re-industrialization of Bulgaria. Through them, it is possible to attract foreign investors, high-tech industries come to them and jobs are provided for young people. It is for this reason that the procedure was a priority for the Ministry of Innovation and Growth. This was stated by the Minister of Innovation and Growth Rosen Karadimov today at a meeting with the Mayor of Burgas Municipality Dimitar Nikolov on the territory of "Industrial and Logistics Park - Burgas". It was also attended by the regional governor Prof. Maria Neikova.

The Minister of Innovation was in the city on the occasion of the ranked project under the procedure for the development of industrial zones and parks from the Ministry's National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability. It ended with 11 approved projects for implementation in 10 municipalities for a total of BGN 207 million. Among them are 7 existing industrial zones/parks and 4 new ones under construction. The municipalities are Ruse, Shumen, Svishtov, Lovech, Sofia, Burgas, Stara Zagora, Vidin, Targovishte, Sliven.

The approved funds for the implementation of the industrial park in Burgas are in the amount of BGN 25.7 million. They will be used to realize investments for the construction and reconstruction of supply infrastructure and for the construction of internal technical infrastructure. Many new jobs are expected to be created.

Minister Karadimov stated that the Ministry of Innovation and Growth is doing everything possible to stimulate investments in our country through the Bulgarian Investment Agency.

"Through the Bulgarian Development Bank, which released its limit through its new strategy, it has no limit in supporting public investments financed with European or national funds, such as the industrial parks under the RSP," the minister also said.

According to him, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth will try to provide a national resource. "A reindustrialized Bulgaria is a prerequisite for the arrival of the most technological and powerful companies. If we find financing, in addition to economic growth, we will achieve overcoming regional imbalances, the standard of living will level off," added Karadimov.

During the meeting, it also became clear that a procedure for supporting family businesses, creative industries and crafts is currently open for applications. The total budget of the measure is BGN 117.5 million and it is aimed at micro- and small enterprises to apply for the acquisition of new machines, equipment, tools, specialized software, etc. The minimum amount of the grant for a project is BGN 15,000, and the maximum - up to BGN 150,000.
