The head of the Directorate for National Construction Control has been replaced
The acting Minister of Regional Development, Violeta Koritarova, dismissed the head of the Directorate for National Construction Control, Arch. Delyana Panayotova, reported the press center of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
The department did not announce the reasons for the dismissal of Panayotova, who remained in the post for less than 2 years.
The new old head of DNCC is Eng. Liliana Petrova, who managed the directorate in the period from December 31, 2021 to August 8, 2022, but was also replaced without any reasons being disclosed by Delyana Panayotova.
Engineer Petrova was the head of the regional directorates for national construction control in Sofia and in the Sofia region. Before heading the two structures, she held various expert positions in them. She also worked as a department head in the "Architecture and Town Planning" Department of the Metropolitan Municipality.
This is the second change in a key structure made by Minister Koritarova in just 48 hours. On Wednesday, she dismissed the chairman of the Management Board of the Road Infrastructure Agency, Yasen Yordanov, after illegal actions found by an internal audit.
Yordan Valchev, who is a member of the Management Board of API, has been appointed as the temporary executive.
The regional ministry announced that Minister Koritarova made her decision to release Eng. Yordanov after she got acquainted with the inspection report, which found illegal signing of annexes to increase the value of contracts by up to 50%, as well as illegal assignment of maintenance activities of the republican road network on the territory of Varna and Dobrich regions.
Yasen Yordanov remained in his post for only 10 months.
