GERB returned a completed mandate to the president and a folder with names of ministers

GERB offers a cabinet, Maria Gabriel announced to the president, where she returned a full folder with names of ministers. They are the same ones that were announced yesterday.

I am returning the mandate fulfilled, with a sense of responsibility for Bulgaria, Gabriel told President Rumen Radev shortly after 4:00 p.m., Dir.bg reported. Only the name of Denitsa Sacheva from GERB is missing from the previously announced ministerial list, who will not become social minister, and Ivanka Shalapatova will retain her position instead.

For the last 9 months, I have shown that I can defend the interests of Bulgaria, that I do not work for myself personally, nor for the party I represent. Bulgaria needed stability 9 months ago, and in the name of that we gave up the mandate, in the name of the national interest, began Maria Gabriel.

In the meantime, I think that I have shown clearly what I will not compromise with - I will not compromise with the constitution, the rule of law and the law, the best democratic practices - publicity and transparency being the leading for me, explained Gabriel. And in this context, for me, leading principles will continue to be: trust - work with a team you trust; dialogue - when you negotiate, when you want the country to move forward, it happens with dialogue, I think I have shown that I can do it, I will always remain respecting this principle, added Gabriel. And he added that institutions and laws are equally important - they are respected and observed. They are not to serve anyone's delusional notion of governing a country, or delusional notion of an independent judiciary, or whatever.

Until the last moment, the questions remained - are there names of ministers in the folder, or is it empty and we are going to elections, as was the version that was launched earlier today, after the GERB announced that the negotiations had ended.

The leader of "Yes, Bulgaria" Hristo Ivanov commented after the end of the negotiations that he will wait for Maria Gabriel's statement and will not speak until then. A PP-DB briefing is also expected for after 16:00.

Yesterday, Gabriel received the folder and, at the request of PP-DB, gave another 24 hours for negotiations. They took place until late in the evening in the parliament, and this morning after 10:00 they continued.
