We received a "green light" for the design and construction of the eastern lane of the "Struma" highway in the direction of Sofia outside the Kresna Gorge
Bulgaria received a "green light" from the European Commission for the design and construction of the lane from Kulata to Sofia outside the Kresna Gorge on the Eastern option G10.50 on Lot 3.2. from AM "Struma". This will make it possible to start work on the last section of the highway between Krupnik and Kresna. Work will also be done on a second route outside the gorge in the direction of Sofia - Kulata. This was announced today by the regional ministry.
The Government tasked the Ministers of Regional Development and Public Works and Transport and Communications to take the necessary actions for the design and construction of Lot 3.2. Work on the design and construction of the route in the direction of Kulata - Sofia along the eastern slope of the Kresnen Gorge is about to begin.
A pre-investment survey for a new route in the direction of Sofia - Kulata outside the Kresnen Gorge is also being commissioned.
It is planned that no actions will be taken to implement a right lane (from Sofia to the Tower) on Lot 3.2. of AM "Struma" along the route of the existing road E-79 before considering the possible alternatives, subject of the pre-investment studies.
