Update of 2 regulations for the water and sanitation sector have been released for public discussion
Proposals for an Ordinance for the design, construction and operation of water supply systems and for changes to the 2013 Ordinance for the design, construction and operation of sewage systems have been published for discussion in the Public Consultation Portal, reports BTA.
The project regulation for water supply systems aims to improve and update the requirements for their design, construction and technical operation in accordance with good engineering practices. Changes in European and national legislation are taken into account, including the European standards, and the identified problems in the implementation of the current Ordinance No. 2 of 2005 in practice, is stated in the reasons for the draft by-law.
The proponents of the amendments to the 2013 Ordinance on Sewerage Systems expect that the proposed amendments will improve the investment process in design and construction, as the main part of the changes are in accordance with the applicable European and national legislation, European standards, good engineering practices and in response to identified problems in the implementation of the regulation in practice.
