The EC approved changes to the Recovery and Sustainability Plan of Bulgaria
The European Commission announced that it approves changes to the Bulgarian Recovery and Sustainability Plan, BTA reported.
It is noted that the plan has a total value of 5.7 billion euros. In the amendments, our country proposes changes to 22 measures.
It is planned that 57.5 percent of the funds will be used to promote the energy transition, and the rest - for digitization and for increasing economic and social sustainability.
The Commission clarifies that the changes are also related to the amendment of the total amount under the Bulgarian plan, reduced by 600 million euros. In June of last year, the EC proposed a general reduction of the amounts under the plan for the EU countries due to the improved economic situation, including in our country.
It is added that Bulgaria received the first transfer under the plan of 1.37 billion euros last December. Today's decision of the EC is subject to approval by the Council of the EU in the next four weeks, the announcement also notes.
