The Energy Committee of the Parliament rejected the so-called "quick cancellation" of the Lukoil+ derogation
With 5 votes "for" - 4 "against" - and 5 "abstentions". The Committee on Energy in the National Assembly did not agree to a quick cancellation of the derogation (the possibility of transporting Russian oil by sea) of the "Lukoil Neftohim Burgas" refinery. It is a matter of three days from the entry into force of the law. As is known, according to the latest legal amendments, the derogation is expected to disappear completely in October 2024.
The proposal to cancel the three-day period was included in a project to amend the Law on the Control of Implementation of Restrictive Measures in view of Russia's actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine. The bill was introduced by Delyan Dobrev on November 10, 2023.
