President Rumen Radev: Bulgaria is interested in economic, investment and industrial cooperation with France responding to the scale of the French cultural presence in our country
Bulgaria has an interest in economic, investment and industrial cooperation with France responding to the active diplomatic relations and the scale of the French cultural presence in our country. This was stated by the Head of State Rumen Radev at a meeting today at "Dondukov" 2 with the Secretary of State for European Affairs of the French Republic, Laurence Boon.
The two highlighted the strong traditions of Franco-Bulgarian cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest, as well as the opportunities for their upgrading in the economy, energy, defense industry, science, education and culture. President Radev expressed Bulgaria's gratitude for France's consistent support for our country's accession to Schengen.
During the meeting, the President and the Secretary of State for European Affairs of France also discussed a number of issues from the EU agenda and the European perspective of the Western Balkans, the military conflicts in Europe's neighboring regions and their consequences.
