A kind of general assembly of the protesting miners and energy workers from the Maritsa-East complex is being held on the Trakia highway. Representatives from the other blockades are also present, and at this stage they have united around the decision from Monday or Tuesday at the latest to start signing on mines and workshops to start effective strike actions, BNR informs.

If a strike is decided, it will have to be supported by 50+1 percent of the workers. The requests to the employer will have to be formulated precisely, as is required by law. They are ready for strike action to last as long as possible, the miners said.

They are also discussing a day and time to call for a national protest, for which they expect support from all over the country. By this point, as far as they understood, it would be Thursday.

The protesters united around the opinion that the road blockades should remain during the effective strike action. By tomorrow, they will have to specify the exact requests that will be formulated in the subscription for enterprises in "Maritsa-East". The main thing remains the withdrawal of the territorial plans for a just transition from the European institutions, because by law, in the event of a strike, the demands must be enforceable by the employer. Lively discussions are also underway on how to claim short- and long-term job security.

Earlier, the chairman of CL "Podkrepa" in "Mini Maritsa East" Biser Binev stated in an interview for the show "Nedelya 150" that the blockades of energy workers and miners will continue until the demands are fulfilled and more specifically - until the withdrawal of territorial plans. If the government decides not to withdraw them, then effective strike action may also result:

"We're going to get all the protesting energy workers and miners together and we're going to make the next decision about what we're going to do, maybe we're going to go into effective strike action." He was adamant that the plans could be withdrawn, revised and agreed with all interested parties to the satisfaction of all."

In an interview for the show "Nedelya 150", Binev also expressed doubt that the European money, which is relied on, will enter the regions.

"This is a matter of wishful thinking – whether they will enter our regions or certain companies that are included in the territorial plans. One would hope that jobs will be created. We categorically do not believe that. The Maritsa East complex itself generates on an annual basis, much more than this 1.5 billion, so the state will hardly lose anything. On the contrary, it would gain a lot".

According to him, there is not even a guarantee that the state will receive this money. "We will be the next ones to have sent some territorial plans and we will just wait for the approval", he believes.
