Prime Minister Denkov: Bulgaria can be a bridge between the EU and Vietnam
"Vietnam's role in the Asian region is key and of strategic importance to the development of economy, education and technology. Bulgaria could help for closer cooperation between the European Union and Vietnam". This was stated by the Prime Minister Academician Nikolay Denkov to the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue, whom he received today in the Council of Ministers. In response, the guest pointed out that his country is ready to assist Bulgaria in its efforts to deepen the partnership with other countries in Asia.
As an example of the excellent bilateral political and cultural relations, the chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam pointed to the more than 30 thousand students who have received training in Bulgarian universities and now hold leadership positions in their homeland. "They are a bridge between our peoples," added Vuong Dinh Hue.
Prime Minister Academician Denkov and the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam were unanimous that the two countries can cooperate successfully in the field of green transition and digitalization. The Bulgarian Prime Minister invited Vietnamese companies to invest in the three coal regions that will be greatly affected by the energy transition. Academician Denkov emphasized that the government's goal is not only to preserve jobs in these regions, but also to turn them into centers of cutting-edge technological development.
