MRDPW mobilizes the Road Administration and Water and Sewerage in Burgas to help repair the damage after the floods in Tsarevo municipality
The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Andrey Tsekov mobilized the units of the Regional Road Administration - Burgas and "ViK" EAD Burgas to get involved in the removal of the consequences of the floods on the territory of Tsarevo municipality.
The "Road Infrastructure" Agency took urgent measures to clean roads in the Tsarevo region from the fallen stones, earth masses and trees from the torrential rains that fell in the area. The road maintenance company of the republican network in the Burgas region is sending additional equipment and emergency teams to clean the roads, the MRRB announced today.
Due to landslides caused by the heavy rains, traffic is limited on the second-class road II-99 Tsarevo-Malko Tarnovo in the area of the village of Izgrev /from km 60 to km 61/. In the area of Gramatikovo /from km 90 to km 91/ traffic is carried out in one lane. The section before the bridge over the Karaagach River is flooded.
Traffic is restricted on the third-class road III-9901 Tsarevo - Varvara. The bridge collapsed at km 1+653 after Tsarevo. Two sections after "Nestinarka" in the direction of Varvara /at km 3+700/ and before the village of Varvara /at km 6+500/ were flooded, with the water passing 20-30 cm above the roadway. Traffic is restricted in the Varvara - Ahtopol section at the "Dolphin" campsite /from km 10 to km 10+800/, where the water has flooded the roadway, washed away part of the pavement and undermined the pavement.
Road III-9901 in the Ahtopol - Sinemorets section at the entrance to Sinemorets /at km 18/ is closed to traffic due to a flooded section.
"ViK" EAD Burgas sent teams and equipment to provide on-site assistance in the work of the crisis headquarters of Tsarevo Municipality.
Due to the collapsed bridge and damaged infrastructure, a pontoon bridge has been provided for the affected region from a warehouse in Sliven. It will be transported in several trucks.
The MRDPW units work around the clock until the disaster situation is under control.
