The exchange operator with a new record of traded quantities on the "Intraday" market in August

Traded volumes of the Intraday market segment of the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (BIEE) again set a record for 2023, reaching 204,942.6 MWh in August (5.3% more than the previous record of 194,634, 2 MWh in April), reports the electricity exchange operator.

For comparison, compared to the same period (January-August) last year, before the introduction of 15-minute products on the border with Romania and the start of the market unification with Greece, the increase was more than 2 times. Growth is reported not only in traded quantities, but also in the share of trades concluded using the robotic trading API mechanism. At the end of the first half of 2023, they represent 20% of all concluded transactions, which confirms the growing importance of this type of trade for the market segment.
