Georgia and Bulgaria will seek to strengthen energy cooperation
Possibilities for strengthening energy cooperation were the focus of the meeting between the Minister of Energy Rumen Radev and the Deputy Ministers Nikolay Nikolov and Krasimir Nenov with the Ambassador of Georgia to our country Otar Berdzenishvili and the First Secretary Vazha Gvaramiya. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy on 10.08.23.
Emphasis in the talks was placed on the diversification of the supply of energy sources, especially during the development of the project for the so-called "Middle Corridor" connecting Europe and Asia, and above all the potential of the Black Sea as an alternative to land corridors.
Ambassador Berdzenishvili extended an invitation to the representatives of the ministry to participate in an energy forum in Georgia in the fall, and the Bulgarian side confirmed its interest in such participation.
Minister Radev and Ambassador Berdzenishvili united around the thesis that now is the time to start new joint projects between the two countries, which are not just neighbors, but also partners.
