A new company - National Energy Operator - has been created in the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) to focus on systems that contribute to the development and storage of green energy. This was said by the Acting Minister of Energy Rosen Hristov at the beginning of a specialized event "Energy of Tomorrow", which is being held today, BTA reported.

According to him, we are actively working with the European Commission to initiate projects to stimulate the implementation of similar technologies in a different way.

The brief reference in the Commercial Register shows that at the beginning of April a new subsidiary of BEH was registered - "National Energy Operator" (NEO). The holding has not officially announced the news until now. The NEO is registered with a capital of BGN 30 million and the subject of activity is "construction and operation of electrical energy facilities and all other activities not prohibited by law".

The representative of the company is Alexander Zdravkov Mihailov, and besides him, the board of directors includes Plamen Radov Gerdzhikov and Kostadin Hristov Hristov.

According to the Acting Minister of Energy, the crisis in Ukraine has stimulated the process of promoting the process of decarbonization and the introduction of alternative sources of energy.

Bulgaria has one of the largest carbon-intensive economies in Europe, but this also represents a great opportunity for the implementation of new technologies, Minister Hristov added.
