Bulgarian exports to Great Britain exceed BGN 1.3 billion
Bulgarian exports to Great Britain reached a record 1.3 billion BGN for the first eleven months of 2022. This was announced by the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov during the celebration of the 8th anniversary of the establishment of the British-Bulgarian Business Association. He added that for the same period, the exchange of goods between the two countries exceeded BGN 2.1 billion, and behind these good results is the active work of companies from both countries.
"A quarter of the IT companies and companies serving business processes registered in our country are from the Island," said Nikola Stoyanov. The Minister of Economy emphasized that a Bulgarian technology company has been successfully building the 4G and 5G networks of one of the British mobile operators for several years now, which is another proof that our companies in the sector work at the highest level and with excellently trained specialists in this field.
"After Brexit, the interest in investments and business in Bulgaria is even increasing, because our country provides companies from the Island with access to the single European market," pointed out Minister Stoyanov. He commented that the main focus is now attracting more companies that will provide added value to our economy and competitive pay for those employed in them.
