Minister Pulev led the Bulgarian delegation at the UN conference in Doha
Delegations from over 150 countries attend the High-Level Forum on Least Developed Countries
The Minister of Innovation and Growth, Alexander Pulev, leads the Bulgarian delegation to the Fifth UN Conference on Least Developed Countries, which is being held in Doha, Qatar. Deputy heads of the delegation are Lachezara Stoeva, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Nations and Chairman of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, and Plamen Delev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the State of Qatar.
On March 6 (Monday), Minister Pulev will make a speech in the general debate at the international conference, and later he will participate in a high-level Thematic Round Table "Using the power of science, technology and innovation for the sustainable development of the least developed countries', where around 30 countries are expected to take part.
On March 7 (Tuesday), Minister Pulev will also participate in the ministerial meeting on South-South cooperation "Renewed partnerships for implementable solutions in support of the implementation of the Doha Action Programme". High-level representatives from the UN system, multilateral and regional development banks and financial institutions, the private sector, academia and NGOs will also take part in it.
A declaration is expected to be adopted at the end of the conference.
The high-level forum in Doha is attended by delegations from over 150 countries, representatives of European institutions, chambers of commerce, investment promotion agencies, heads of UN funds, agencies and programs, representatives of international institutions, international companies, etc.
