A delegation of the European Commission will visit Bulgaria and successful projects with European funding
On February 8, a team from the Directorate General "Regional and Settlement Policy" of the European Commission will be in Bulgaria at the invitation of the Bulgarian authorities. The delegation will be led by Ms. Sofia Alves, Director of the Directorate "Building Administrative Capacity and Implementation of Programs II", and Ms. Anes Monfre, Head of the Department "Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovenia", who are responsible for the implementation of the Agreement for partnership and the programs co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the Cohesion Fund and the Just Transition Fund in several countries, including Bulgaria, announced the Representation of the EC in Bulgaria.
For Bulgaria, the Directorate monitors the implementation of the Partnership Agreement and the operational programs for the period 2014 - 2020 and will monitor the implementation of the Partnership Agreement and the programs for 2021 - 2027: "Transport connectivity", "Environment", "Competitiveness and innovation in enterprises" ", "Technical assistance", "Regional development", "Research, innovation and digitization for smart transformation".
As part of the visit, the European Commission team will meet with the Acting Deputy Prime Minister for the Management of European Funds, Atanas Pekanov, and with the Managing Authorities of the Operational Programs 2014-2020 and the new programs 2021-2027.
During the three-day visit, representatives of the European Commission will take part in the Monitoring Committee of the Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises Program 2021-2027 and a joint Monitoring Committee of the Partnership Agreement 2014-2020 and the Partnership Agreement 2021-2027, which will held in Sofia. The monitoring committees include representatives of the administration, employers, trade unions, non-governmental organizations and other interested parties monitoring the implementation of the programs financed by the cohesion policy.
The delegation will also visit projects financed under the OP "Innovations and Competitiveness" 2014-2020.
