Hellenic Petroleum Group now has a new corporate identity and will be called HELLENIQ Energy. This was announced by the CEO of the group, Andreas Siamisis, who presented the company's new corporate identity at a special event in Sofia Tech Park. The change shows the company's focus and drive towards new technologies, digitization and reducing the carbon footprint. Specifically for Bulgaria, the company intends to expand its portfolio of services and no longer be known among the population primarily with the chain of EKO gas stations. The management's intentions are to enter the renewable energy market in our country more and more aggressively and to be among the leaders in modern technologies.

The EKO brand will remain on the market in our country and will manage the chain of gas stations, explained Siamisis. The gas stations themselves will become increasingly focused on the user experience and offer a palette of services. So, for example, when charging electric cars, people do not have to stand next to their cars for half an hour, but they will have a wide variety of activities to perform at the sites of HELLENIQ Energy. "Hellenic Petroleum" will be used as a name only for the business related to refineries and fossil fuel processing, Siamisis said. The company recalled that in Bulgaria alone, over 1,100 employees currently work and the company has about 100 gas stations.

The group's intention is to start offering many products in its sites. The company plans to continue developing in the market for renewable energy installations in our country. At the same time, the group wants to change itself with a different corporate governance model, with an appropriate structure and with a new identity. "Corporate identity is a way to show people that we want and that we are changing," said Siamisis. Another focus will be the sale of electricity to customers.

The main commitments of the company are to invest in energy efficiency, in new renewable fuels, with different types of products, as well as to develop biofuels, hydrogen production, recycling. There will also be a focus on the network of charging stations, as it is possible that fast charging stations will be imported from Greece.
