Minister Stoyanov: We will be able to keep the price of the gas mix within the range requested by the business

The quantities of gas are secured, and the price of the gas mix will be within the range requested by the business. This was assured by the Minister of Economy Nikola Stoyanov during his participation in the morning block of BNT.

"We will be able to keep the price of the gas mix within the limits that the business has set for us. The quantities are secured. The interconnector with Greece is coming at the right time. Some of the enterprises will switch to other alternative fuels because it will be more profitable for them. Gas will there is, and it will be at a good price, so that the business is competitive and survives," said acting Minister of Economy Nikola Stoyanov in "The Day Begins".

According to him, there will be no need for a ceiling on the price of gas. According to Nikola Stoyanov, a serious development of investments is expected, the interest is huge due to the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, as well as the overall concern in Europe regarding energy issues. We remind you that yesterday our country joined the letter of the 13 countries demanding a ceiling on the price of gas, not only from Russian, but also from other sources.

Bulgaria is stable, explained Nikola Stoyanov and added that confirmation is expected by the end of next month for new investments for nearly 100 million euros.

Minister Stoyanov also reminded of the decision of the caretaker government to continue supporting businesses for high electricity prices. "Support for electricity will continue. This will also have a calming effect on food prices. We manage to control energy prices. Our country has mechanisms to influence the wholesale fuel market. Various options for supporting business are being discussed," Nikola Stoyanov added.
