Bulgargaz forecasts 38.69% growth in natural gas for April

Bulgargaz forecasts an increase in the price of natural gas to BGN 157.73 per MWh without prices for access, transmission, excise and VAT, according to a company statement to the media. This is an increase of 38.69% compared to the approved price from the approved for March price of BGN 113.73 per MWh.

In compliance with the requirements of Art. 36a of the Energy Act, Bulgargaz EAD notifies its customers that the estimated price of natural gas for May 2022, formed in accordance with Art. 17 of Ordinance № 2 of 19.03.2013 on regulation of natural gas prices is BGN 157.73 / MWh (excluding prices for access, transmission, excise and VAT) or BGN 80.65 / MWh, calculated according to the BNB fixing . The estimated price is formed on the basis of estimated values ​​of the price-forming components as of March 11, 2022.

For comparison, the prices on the European gas markets for delivery in May on March 10, 2022 are approximately 120 EUR / MWh, according to Bulgargaz.

The final proposal for approval of the price of natural gas for May 2022 will be submitted to the EWRC on 01.05.2022, taking into account the quotations of the price-forming components as of 30.04.2022, the announcement states.
