My recommendation is that the program 60/40 for business support measure end on June 30 and no longer be activated unless there is another COVID wave. This was said in the minutes for parliamentary control by Asen Vassilev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. He answered a question from MP Nikolina Angelkova about financial measures to support individuals and legal entities employed in the tourism sector, BTA reported.

There is no precondition for activating this measure, it continues to work for three months after the end of the epidemiological situation and the pandemic. As we know, now the incidence is much lower, there are no dramatic restrictive measures against tourism. It is likely that there will be almost no restrictive measures in April-May-June if this epidemiological situation persists. The 60/40 measure has done its job for high energy prices, not only for the tourism business, but for all businesses, Vassilev said.
