Six new deputy ministers have been appointed
By order of Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, six deputy ministers have been appointed, the government's information service said.
Stoyan Temelakiev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Interior. Temelakiev has a master's degree in law from SWU "Neofit Rilski" - Blagoevgrad. For many years he worked in various positions in the system of the Ministry of Interior, including Deputy Director of the CDCOC in the period 2015-2020, and from July 2020 until now he has held the position of Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgi Yordanov has been appointed Deputy Minister of Health. Dr. Yordanov has a master's degree in dentistry and health management. He was a Member of Parliament in the 44th National Assembly. From 2014 to 2017 he held the position of Executive Director of the University Hospital - Plovdiv. And in the period 2011 - 2014 he was manager of MHAT "St. Mine - Plovdiv.
Stefan Burdzhev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture. He is a Member of Parliament in the 44th and 46th National Assembly. He held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, Food and Forestry in the 46th National Assembly. He has a master's degree in international economic relations.
Toma Belev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Environment and Water. He is a long-term expert in the management of protected areas in Bulgaria. Belev has been the director of Vitosha Nature Park for 13 years. Until now, Belev has been a councilor in the Sofia Municipal Council and has been a member of the standing committees on environment, spatial planning and transport. Toma Belev has a Master's degree in Forestry - Environmental Protection at the University of Forestry.
Nikolay Sidjimov has also been appointed Deputy Minister of Environment and Water. For many years he worked in the sector of waste management and development of local administration. He has a master's degree in ecology and environmental protection. Graduate of the Institute of Zoology, BAS.
Iva Petrova has been appointed Deputy Minister of Energy. In the period 2000-2009 she worked in the Ministry of Energy. She was responsible for managing and monitoring energy projects. From February 2009 to the end of June 2010 he was Director of Projects and Investments at the Bulgarian Energy Holding. Iva Petrova has a Master's degree in Business Administration from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski ”. She also graduated from the University of Birmingham, Great Britain.
By another order of the Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, two Deputy Ministers of Finance were released - Monika Dimitrova-Beecher and Ivaylo Hristov, as well as two Deputy Ministers of Interior - Ventsislav Katinov and Emil Ganchev.
