Bulgargaz forecasts a gas price of BGN 93.13 per MWh for January 2022
The Bulgarian public gas supplier Bulgargaz forecasts an average gas price for January 2022 of BGN 93.13 per MWh. This is stated in a statement of the company.
Bulgargaz EAD notifies its customers that the estimated price of natural gas for January 2022, formed in accordance with Art. 17 of Ordinance № 2 of 19.03.2013 for regulation of natural gas prices, is BGN 93.13 / MWh (excluding prices for access, transmission, excise and VAT) or BGN 47.62 / MWh, calculated according to the BNB fixing.
The forecast price for January 2022 is prepared on the basis of the forecast values of the price-forming components as of November 9, 2021.
For comparison, the estimated price on the European gas markets (as of 09.11.2021) for deliveries in January 2021 is approximately EUR 72 / MWh or BGN 140.82 / MWh.
A final proposal for approval of the price of natural gas for January 2022 will be submitted for approval by the EWRC on 01.01.2022, taking into account the quotations of the price-forming components as of 31.12.2021, the announcement says.
As it is known, the company forecasts the price for the last month of the current 2021. According to him, the estimated price of gas for December 2021, which is to be discussed this month in the EWRC and approved on December 1 is BGN 106.96 for MWh (excluding prices for access, transmission, excise and VAT) or EUR 54.67 per MWh, calculated according to the BNB fixing.
