New flights to exotic destinations come with the winter schedule at Sofia Airport
At the same time, some of the flights suspended due to the pandemic are being restored
The winter schedule at Sofia Airport also comes with new destinations. For the first time, travelers from the capital's airport will be able to enjoy an exotic vacation in the tourist pearl of Kenya - Mombasa. The flights start on January 29 and will be operated by European Air Charter. The same airline will fly to Aswan, Egypt and Zanzibar once a week from December to February, as well as to Cairo from November 6. There will also be flights to the Egyptian capital BHAir, starting on November 3. Another irresistible offer for winter holidays is the Canary Islands. The flights to the popular destination start on November 3 and will be operated once a week by Smartwings.
A new route for the winter season is the capital of the United Arab Emirates - Abu Dhabi, known for its diverse tourist offers. Wizz air has stated that it will fly there twice a week from January 18.
The focus of the winter program are the direct flights of Qatar Airways Doha - Sofia, which start on December 16. Qatar's Hamad Airport, recognized as the best for this year, expands the possibilities of the Middle Eastern destinations accessible from Sofia Airport, such as the Maldives, the Seychelles, Zanzibar, Singapore, South Africa and others.
The winter schedule also includes the new Azur Air airline for the capital's airport, which will start its flights on the route Sofia - Kiev on December 26. They will be performed twice a week - on Thursday and Sunday.
Sofia Airport and Nordwind Airlines provide opportunities to travel to a new destination - Rostov-on-Don, the largest city in southwestern Russia. Flights will be available every Saturday from January 15, 2022.
