The business insists on a financial pool, the price of which should be in the range of BGN 150-160 / MWh

Financial compensations in the amount of 75 percent of the difference between the estimated market price of the EWRC and the actual value for electricity can be received by non-household consumers on the free market. "We demand that the first such (compensation) be paid before the electricity bill for October comes," said Vasil Velev, chairman of the board of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association, after a working meeting at the Council of Ministers with the caretaker minister. of Labor and Social Policy Galab Donev, the caretaker Minister of Energy Andrey Zhivkov, the Chairman of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission Ivan Ivanov, the Executive Director of the Bulgarian Energy Holding Valentin Nikolov, the Executive Director of the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange Konstantin Konstantinov and other energy experts.

Other options for reducing the price of electricity on the stock exchange by changing the mechanism of the supplier of last resort are also being discussed. Velev clarified that it can be collected on a "pool of electricity", which can be sold at cost, plus a reasonable profit. He pointed out that this price could be in the range of BGN 150-160 per megawatt-hour.

Two options are being discussed, Velev said. One is through a negative obligation to society, which is now 7-8 leva, but can be minus 200 leva. The other option is to reduce the price through a supplier of last resort.

CITUB President Plamen Dimitrov added that specific mechanisms and solutions were discussed during today's conversation. After the meeting at 16:00 it will become clear whether the requests will be met.

"The direction is what we want - the commitments for financial compensation have been made, but they must be confirmed by a decision of the Council of Ministers and the relevant acts," he added. Until then, it may be necessary to protest again.
