The expert in electricity trade reminded that under the law by June 30, 2021 all business consumers must switch to the free market.

"The procedures provided for in the Electricity Trading Rules allow the change of supplier to take place without restrictions, without payment of fees, without prior requirements and questions. The first step is to sign a contract with the selected company. From there, the entire administrative activity is taken over by the trader, "Pavlov explained.

The expert explained that it is much more profitable for business consumers to be on the free market, so he advises them to research companies faster and choose the one that best meets their expectations. Mr. Pavlov pointed out that the image of the company and the terms of the contract it offers are important in the selection. According to him, the lowest price does not always guarantee the best choice for the customer.

"Consumers who have not concluded a contract with a trader after 30.06.2021, will be automatically transferred to the so-called. supplier of last resort. Then they will have to pay for the consumed electricity at significantly higher prices than the market ones. In short, I do not recommend this option to anyone. Pavlov clarified that the role of the supplier of last resort is to immediately provide electricity to consumers who for various reasons have been left without supply for a certain period of time.

"The reason may be that the trader with whom we have concluded a contract has gone bankrupt. In this situation we automatically switch to a supplier of last resort for the period until we conclude a contract with a new one. Therefore, my advice is to choose the company based on the image that guarantees the security and reliability it offers. Of course, its pricing policy is also very important," said Pavlov of Grand Energy Distribution.
