166 COVID-19 Cases Set New Daily Record, Bringing Bulgaria's Total to 4,408
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 4,408 on Friday after a new record 166 infections were confirmed over the last 24 hours out of 2,775 PCR tests, according to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg. The number was 38 up from the previous day.
A total of 128,293 PCR tests have been performed since the first cases were diagnosed on March 8.
The active cases are 1,827. The newly infected persons include 8 medical staff (6 doctors, a nurse and an orderly), and this category now totals 384.
The hospitalized patients number 384, including 16 in intensive care.
Another 107 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 2,370.
Two more fatalities were reported, bringing the total death toll to 211.
