Record number of new coronavirus cases reported in Bulgaria, 104 over 24 hours

104 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours from 2308 samples, the national information systems says on June 11.

This is the first time that the daily figures exceeded 100 since the start of the epidemic.

The number of people who have recovered is 1664, including 41 in the past 24 hours.

The fatalities are 167 No death was reported in the past 24 hours.

The largest number of new cases was registered in the district of Smolyan, South Bulgaria – 41. Sofia reported 19 and Stara Zagora – 15.

If there are three consecutive day with more than 100 confirmed coronavirus cases a day, the recently relaxed anti-epidemic measures may be brought back, the PM said yesterday.
