Major-General Ventsislav Mutafchiyski: Confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria total 1,081, three new deaths
In the past 24 hours, 66 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed, with 29 hospitalised patients, bringing the total of infections in Bulgaria to 1,081, said the head of the National Task Force, Major-General Prof. Dr.-med. Ventsislav Mutafchiyski, at the daily briefing at the Council of Ministers, Focus News Agency reports.
“In Sofia there have been 22 new cases, Pleven – 13, in Sliven - 5, Veliko Tarnovo - 5, Plovdiv - 4, Pazardzhik - 4, Kyustendil - 4, Lovech - 3, Vidin - 2, Varna - 1, Burgas - 1, Silistra - 1 and Pernik - 1 ", said Gen. Mutafchiyski.
In his words, the total number of infected children in Bulgaria is 39, with 5 new cases. 12 new cases among healthcare workers have been reported.
"190 patients have recovered, with 16 new recoveries. 262 people are currently undergoing hospital treatment," he said
Another three patients have died, a 87-year-old woman, a 53-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman, bringing the total of deaths to 50.
