Bulgaria Declares State of Emergency over COVID-19
The Bulgarian Parliament voted unanimously 201 in favour to declare a nationwide state of emergencyover COVID-19 between March 13 and April 13. The proposal was made by the Council of Ministers after the country reached 23 cases of the coronavirus, with one death. This will allow the government to close schools and universities and ban public events. A ban may be imposed on travel to certain countries, and people from countries with a high rate of COVID-19 infections will be prevented from entering the country.
