The contract for the supply of the materials for the TurkStream has been signed, Focus News Agency reported.
This happened at the Council of Ministers in the presence of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mesfer Abdulrahman Al Ghassib.
The contract is between Bulgartransgaz and Arcad Consortium for the supply of the necessary materials and equipment, investment design, construction and commissioning of the expansion of the gas transmission infrastructure from the Turkish-Bulgarian to the Bulgarian-Serbian border. This is an important step in the relations between Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia.
The value of the contract is EUR 1.102 billion. The pipeline has to be constructed and put into operation for 615 days, with a linear infrastructure of about 300 metres ready within the first 250 days.
