PM Boyko Borissov: Nearly BGN 1 billion is earmarked for educational infrastructure

About BGN 1 billion is earmarked for educational infrastructure in the country, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said during the opening of the modernised training facilities of the National Sports Academy, said the government press office.

The total funding is BGN 3,755,636, with national funding amounting to BGN 525,000. The modernisation included renovation of the old building and construction of a new sports hall. "Having a university in the city centre is very convenient. We did not allow that facilities, which cost tens of millions, be stolen, we gave them to the sports academy,” the prime minister added.

New facilities and equipment have been provided for the training halls and study rooms, the conference room, the library, the reading room, as well as for the gym and changing rooms. The renovated facilities will facilitate the introduction of new training methods. The improved conditions and the modern training and sports halls and classrooms will motivate students to be more active in their study and career starting.
