Nikolay Pavlov: Bulgargaz has filed a new lawsuit against Toplofikacia Sofia. This time for BGN 54 million
Bulgargaz has filed another lawsuit against Toplofikacia Sofia, this time for BGN 54 million. This was said for BNR by the executive director of the gas company Nikolay Pavlov. According to him, currently the overdue debts for natural gas, accumulated by the district heating company are for 105 million.
As Pavlov specified, the reason for the filed new claim of Bulgargaz against Toplofikatsiya-Sofia is that they have not paid their debts in the old case. As it is known some time ago, the district heating company asked Bulgargaz to withdraw its lawsuit and promised to pay.
Bulgargaz filed a lawsuit in July for BGN 71 million. They paid BGN 36 million, leaving BGN 35 million, which they had to pay by September 7. We received a letter from Toplofikacia Sofia, with which they make a firm commitment to pay by September 17.
This letter was sent to absolutely all responsible institutions - the Prime Minister, the Sofia Municipal Council, to all state institutions. After that, payments of up to BGN 10 million were received, but in the end they did not pay off and Bulgargaz was forced to file a lawsuit again, this time for BGN 54 million, because in the old case the court ruling has not yet entered into force and we cannot include the rest of the debt in the new case. "
According to the executive director of the gas company, it needs funds to ensure the supply of blue fuel.
As he explained, it is necessary to "ensure the cash flows of Bulgargaz in order to be able to secure the deliveries, to pay in advance to the Russian and Azerbaijani suppliers. We are entering the autumn-winter season. We are obliged to take action to collection of receivables, including through attachment of accounts ", pointed out the executive director of Bulgargaz Nikolay Pavlov.
