Lubomir Karimanski: Concessions in Bulgaria are greatly underestimated as fees that are collected
"The method of updating pensions is based on the actual insurance income, while the method proposed by the caretaker government was not based on the actual insurance income." This was stated to BNR by Lubomir Karimanski, chairman of the parliamentary committee on budget and finance, MP from "There is such a people". According to Lubomir Karimanski, it is important to emphasize that the funds are provided by the end of the year, and for the next year they can be provided from sources in the public sector, where costs can be optimized and a higher revenue share can be shown:
"Concessions in Bulgaria are greatly underestimated as fees collected by the state. The company" Dundee Precious Metals "for the last year have obtained and exported raw materials in the amount of 12,200 kilograms of gold for more than 1.2 billion levs. The concession fee of this company is 1% ... Why the Prosecutor General's Office did not pay attention to at least one of the reports of the National Audit Office. Here is an opportunity to optimize the costs in the public sector so that the revenue part can have it...".
Karimanski announced the revision of the concession contracts:
"We protect the interest of the state from the point of view of exploitation of the country's natural resources. We must also comply with the EC policy on how and in what way we exploit our natural resources...Have we done everything possible to optimize the economy of the country ".
The update of the state budget can be adopted until September 14, according to the chairman of the budget committee in the National Assembly.
"I am definitely in favor of a 2-in-1 election, from a financial point of view, this is the more sensible option," said the chairman of the parliamentary committee on budget and finance.
Karimanski described as minimal the possibility of him being the ITN's candidate for governor of the BNB.
"I do not see myself as a minister after the upcoming elections, but as an MP - I would like to be the individual majority MP of the people," he said.
