The Bulgarian Energy Holding has extended the deadline for submission of bids in connection with the tender for the selection of a licensed trader to supply electricity to two buildings of the company. Those interested can now submit bids until 17:00 on July 30, ie. until next Friday.

The procedure started on 14 July and was announced in connection with the amendments to the Energy Act of 26 June 2020, which entered into force on 1 October 2020, related to the liberalization of the electricity market and the introduction of all economic consumers on the free electricity market. For this reason, BEH is looking for a company to supply them with electricity for the plant, located in Sofia at 16 Veslets Street. According to the announcement, the expected annual consumption of the building is approximately between 130 and 170 megawatt hours. The competition also affects another building - at 12 Knyaz Alexander Dondukov Blvd., which, however, has no electricity consumption. One of the requirements of the future trader to supply electricity to the BEH building is to have at least 3 years of experience in this market and to have been a supplier under a similar contract.
