A new package of 7 measures for the companies in Sofia affected by the coronary crisis
Those who have frozen their activity will not pay rent for municipal properties, up to 50 percent discounts for the rest
The Sofia Municipal Council adopted a fourth package of economic measures for the consequences of COVID-19, providing a number of benefits for tenants and users of municipal properties. It enters into force retroactively - June 1 and will be active until October 1, 2021. This was announced by the Bulgarian Association of Restaurants (BAZ), which has actively participated in negotiations with Sofia Municipality and Mayor Yordanka Fandakova to extend support measures of business on the territory of Sofia.
The new package includes:
1. Complete exemption from the obligation to pay rent or compensation for use for tenants or users under contracts concluded with the mayor of Sofia Municipality, regional mayors and municipal companies, provided that they have completely ceased their activities.
2. Reduction of the due compensations or rent installments for tenants or users, who have a decrease in the turnover, as the discount is differentiated - in case of a decrease in the turnover over 50% compared to the same period of 2019, the discount is 50%; with a decrease in turnover between 20% and 50% compared to the same period in 2019, the discount is 20%.
3. For craftsmen - a fixed discount of 50%.
4. Fixed discount of 20% for farmers.
5. Complete exemption from the obligation to pay rent for tenants of sites and properties located on the territory of cooperative markets and color exchanges in case they have ceased their activities.
6. Companies established before June 1, 2019, enjoy a fixed discount of 20%
7. 50% fixed discount from the "pavement right" fee for placing tables and chairs for outdoor consumption.
