Bulgargaz forecasts a gas price for August of BGN 48.42 per MWh

Bulgargaz forecasts the price of natural gas for the month of August this year at BGN 48.42 per MWh (excluding prices for access, transmission, excise and VAT), it is clear from the company's announcement.

The estimated gas price reflects the development of the European gas markets and the quotations of the alternative fuels to natural gas as of June 10, 2021.

A final proposal for approval of the price of natural gas for August 2021 will be submitted for approval by the EWRC on 01.08.2021, taking into account the quotations of the price-forming components as of 31.07.2021, the company clarifies.

Meanwhile, today it is expected to become clear at what price the application submitted by the public provider to the EWRC for July is. Earlier in May, Bulgargaz predicted that the price of natural gas in the coming month of July would be BGN 44.72 per MWh (excluding prices for access, transmission, excise and VAT).

The price of natural gas approved by the EWRC for the current month of June, at which Bulgargaz as a public supplier sells natural gas to final suppliers and to persons holding a license for production and transmission of heat, was BGN 45.27 per MWh. The estimated price of natural gas, announced earlier by the public supplier, was almost ten levs lower - 35.74 levs per MWh.
