The capacity of the sixth unit of Kozloduy NPP is increasing

At the sixth unit of Kozloduy NPP at 20:30 on May 25, 2021 began to increase capacity, which at 11:30 on the same day was temporarily limited to 50%. All necessary checks have been made to confirm the operability of the equipment.

The loading of the unit is carried out in stages, according to the requirements of the technological regulation, and will continue until reaching full capacity, according to the nuclear power plant. We remind you that earlier in the day, a problem with the operation of the turbocharger pump reduced the power of Unit 6 by half.

Unit 5 of the nuclear power plant is still undergoing annual scheduled repairs.
