A digital museum is a system of cameras and a special platform for monitoring bees online, through which everyone will be able to view the museum and its buzzing inhabitants on a certain day and time (bee time) via their phone or tablet. Thus, the interesting world of bees will again be easily accessible to all friends of the museum, and especially to students.
A film about the city bees will also be announced, and those traveling on the Sofia metro will be able to enjoy the beautiful footage from the film about the bees, which will be broadcast on the monitors of the metro stations in the summer. The guests of the event will be able to see different types of copper products provided by Bulgarian honey producers.
International Bee Day has been celebrated since 2018 at the initiative of the Slovenian Association of Beekeepers with the support of the Government of Slovenia, approved by a UN General Assembly resolution of 20 December 2017 in order to inform the public about the importance of bees and bee products, as well as on issues related to the protection of endangered bees. The day is the anniversary of the birth of the Slovenian Anton Jansa / 1734-1773 /, who studied the reproduction of bees and laid the foundations of modern beekeeping
