The whole distance of added value - from ore to final product - must be considered in order to find potential synergies where most of the added value remains in Bulgaria. This was said by the Minister of Economy Kiril Petkov at the beginning of the video conference on "German-Bulgarian economic relations: current status and prospects" in the administrative building of the copper plant of Aurubis Bulgaria AD, BTA reported.

The caretaker Minister of Economy is satisfied with the work with the mayors, because they shared that in addition to the labor force, working with Aurubis contributes to higher rules and a more orderly way of interacting with business. "More transparency, more added value, higher exports and real results that we can achieve together," Kiril Petkov urged. He hopes this meeting will be just the beginning of a productive joint work.

We need to find potential synergies so that most of the added value remains in Bulgaria. We will work for more transparency, more added value, higher exports and real results, explained the Minister of Economy. The video conference was opened by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Rumen Radev, and was attended by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Christoph Eichhorn, representatives of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and German business in Bulgaria, the Ministry of Economy announced.

Minister Petkov pointed out that the export business contributes to a higher standard of living in Bulgaria, and the work with German companies to higher rules and a more orderly way of interaction with business. According to him, Germany is a strategic partner and the positive development of bilateral relations is a priority for the Bulgarian side.

During his visit to Aurubis, the Minister of Economy and the Head of State inspected the copper plant and held a meeting with its management, as well as with representatives of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
