Toplofikacia Vratsa will produce energy from biomass

Toplofikacia Vratsa has submitted an investment intention for the introduction of biomass in production. This is clear from an announcement on the website of the Municipality of Vratsa.

"Although the natural gas from which we produce energy is an ecological fuel, we intend to introduce biomass as an even more ecological method of energy production. Our plan is to make this possible through the reconstruction of one of the hot water boilers. "Announced the executive director of Toplofikacia Vratsa, Eng. Radoslav Mihailov.

Eng. Mihailov explained that the decision was not spontaneous, but the result of serious research and analysis. According to him, in Bulgaria there are facilities of the same type, which have already been rebuilt and modernized and are already producing energy from biomass.

"Similar restructuring activities have already been carried out in Toplofikacia Veliko Tarnovo and Toplofikacia Burgas. We consulted the experience of their teams and thanks to their unreserved help and after an in-depth analysis, we decided that the introduction of biomass in Toplofikacia Vratsa should have a beneficial effect", said Eng. Mihailov.

Biomass is a waste product from agriculture and agriculture. All types of straw are accepted for biomass, as well as husks and pellets of rice, sunflower, etc.

"We are eager to understand the decree on the investment intention of RIEW - Vratsa. If we are given the green light, we will create even more environmentally friendly energy production, "said Eng. Mihailov.
