Bulatom presented an online platform with up-to-date information about the Belene project
The Bulgarian Atomic Forum BULATOM presented an internet platform with up-to-date information dedicated to the Belene NPP project. The organization believes that it is essential to provide the general public with an accurate and up-to-date platform for the project and its potential.
"Currently in the society there is an intensive debate about the future of nuclear energy in our country, including the two promising projects that are in the process of structuring and selecting options for implementation:
- The project for construction of nuclear power on the approved new site near Kozloduy.
- The project for construction of nuclear power at the Belene site.
As a major non-governmental organization, uniting the position and interests of the nuclear sector in Bulgaria, BULATOM supports all efforts aimed at finding a working formula for the implementation of each of these projects in the shortest possible time, "explained the organization. Full and detailed information in bulgarian about the project for construction of nuclear power at the approved new site near Kozloduy can be found at https://npp-nb.bg/. At the same time, currently, due to the lack of an active project organization for Belene NPP, the society is deprived of a source of publicly available information about the history, characteristics and prospects of this project.
In this regard, BULATOM has set itself the goal of providing the public with synthesized up-to-date public information dedicated to the Belene NPP project. In recent months, with the assistance of Selmeda Ltd., this platform has been developed and today we are pleased to present it to you.
The presented information is based only on publicly available sources and covers the Belene NPP project from its launch until now. We plan the platform to be "live" and to be updated with information about the future development of the project.
The purpose of the platform, available in Bulgarian and English, is to be the main source of information on the project for all stakeholders from Bulgaria and abroad, added Bulatom.
